June 12 - Steese Highway to Central, Alaska

Just a day for animals.  We planned to go to the end of the paved road at MP 81, but the scenery was great and the unpaved road was well maintained.

First a look down at where we stayed last the back on the left.

The Davidson Ditch carried water 90 miles for gold dredging in central Alaska.  Here's more info:

It was time to put the flannel lined jeans, parka and gloves on here!  A few snowflakes were falling and the wind was blowing, but the wildflowers were pretty!

And we were above the tree line.
