July 6, Denali Highway

For a couple reasons, we left Denali two days early and spent those nights on the Denali Highway driving from Cantwell to Paxson.  What a difference a few weeks makes….the road was now dusty instead of muddy!

But first, a train trestle in Denali.

By the time we stopped on the Richardson Highway late afternoon of the 7th, the rain was coming down in buckets!
